Trying to resuscitate the quality of long-lasting products and helping construct a more environmental- conscious future,
Phillips officially launched their award-winning
20-Year LED Light Bulb
on the US market. The light-emitting diode (LED) light bulb was
designed to use only 10 watts of power and last for two decades – a
promise for a better future. Supposed to emit a soft, natural light, the
LED light bulb designed by the Netherlands-based company is priced at
$50, but they are working on lowering the price by as much as $20 to
$30. Launched on the market on Earth Day (Sunday, April 22nd 2012), the
innovative Phillips light bulb won the U.S. Department of Energy’s Lighting Prize
last year and promises to shift the general perception on light bulbs
from disposable goods to durable goods. How does this idea sound – are
you interested in replacing your outdated light bulbs with a durable,
eco-friendly product like the 20-Year LED Light Bulb?
